School spirit and community pride can be many different things. They might inspire determination in the yearbook staff, provide purpose for a school counselor, or build self-confidence in a member of the pep band. Spirit builds relationships, provides a sense of belonging and helps forge common bonds that last beyond the years spent in school. Spirit connects everyone.

Our Spirit Story
At Varsity Brands our mission is to inspire achievement and create memorable experiences for young people.
In 2014, we released a study revealing the powerful link between school spirit, involvement, achievement and self-confidence. We found that students with higher levels of spirit perform better academically, are more involved, and feel happier and more connected to their schools and communities.
Inspired by these findings, we created the Varsity Brands School Spirit Awards. This program celebrates schools, organizations and individuals that go above and beyond the call of duty to build school pride, student engagement and community spirit.
